IDENTIFICATION

• Endangered species, unlikely to be observed outside of the Laramie plains
• Size: ~1/2 inch (metamorph) to ~2.5 inches (adult)
• Dorsal color: tan to dark brown
• Dark blotches surrounding warts
• Pale dorsal stripe
• Ventral color: cream or white with  black spots
• Cranial crests form parallel ridges; may be fused to look like one wide ridge with a groove in the middle

• Eggs in long strings
• Uniformly dark black tadpoles with anal vent on midline
